We have an exciting opportunity to join our rural acute care team. Nurses who apply will have the opportunity to work in both Acute Care and ER. Our hospital contains 35 acute care beds on 2 units and a busy 13 bed ER. Our multidisciplinary team works closely together to service all of the needs of our residents.

Description:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills.

You will be guided by your education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, in alignment with applicable legislation, standards of practice, policies, and procedures.

You will play a key role in providing safe, high quality, patient and family centred care while reflecting the shared vision and values of the organization.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.

Active, or eligible for, registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA).

Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Preferred Qualifications:
Rural Acute Care and ER experience. CTAS. Lead ll. Completion of CLPNA restricted activities modules. Completion of ENPEP modules. ACLS or equivalent. Ability to work to full scope.
