The opportunity:

The newly created T&I administration team, recently centralized into a united group.

Our collaborative administrative team approach will foster the sharing of information, skills, goals, tools, priorities and processes with each other, resulting in improved relationships and practices between business units.

As such, and as a newly existing department within T&I, we require administrative assistance to properly serve our clients' needs, help support our own employees, and act as a liaison between Toronto and Montreal.

The role of an Operations Specialist is defined by providing exceptional organization, client service and administrative support


In collaboration with the Sector Specialist, the Operations Specialist acts as an administrative resource for their assigned department within the Distribution and Operations, providing support in areas such as:

  • Directly responsible for administrative functions delegated by D&O directors and Sector Specialist, supporting the work of D&O.-
  • Participating in organizing and arranging meetings, conferences and staff functions, including making arrangements for, accommodations, catering, and facilities.-
  • Assisting in procurement and track payment terms, deliverables, and invoices, including office supplies, ergonomic tools, IT devices, etc.-
  • Assist hiring managers with new employee onboarding processes.-
  • Assist in coordinating, planning, and tracking sector training requirements in conjunction with the Sector Specialist.-
  • Assist assigned directors with' their travel bookings and t travel claim submissions.-
  • Assist partners across T&I with the necessary business support services to ensure consistency, best practices in alignment with corporations' policies and procedures.-
  • Review and, as required, revise administrative processes to ensure efficient and effective operation of the sector in coordination with the Sector Specialist and operations team.-
  • Maintain D&O information systems, records and project files in coordination with the Sector Specialist and operations team.-
  • Help maintain a dynamic, functional, ergonomic and aesthetic work environment for all areas of D&O.-
  • Assist in special projects, meetings, and committees as required.-
  • Liaise with all T&I sectors and facilitate communication between locations.

As a member of the administration team, the Operations Specialist:

  • Represents and acts as a business knowledge expert on administrative tasks and practices for D&O and T&I.-
  • Contributes to the continuous improvement of administrative workflows and best practices for better efficiency.-
  • Actively seeks to build and maintain healthy work relationships with colleagues.-
  • Works closely with the D&O Sector Specialists to deliver outstanding client service.-
  • Leverages the collective view on all T&I activities & staff to ensure alignment within the department at large in all areas of administration.-
  • Experience performing administrative duties in a comparable business environment-
  • Bilingualism (English/French
  • spoken and written)-
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, oral and written-
  • Prefessionalism, Tact, diplomacy, and ability to maintain high levels of discretion and confidentiality are essential-
  • Self-motivation, willingness to learn, autonomous, self-sufficiency, dynamism, proactivity and organization-
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of CBC/Radio-Canada's, or similar organizational structure and goals, a definite asset-
  • Basic knowledge of CBC/Radio-Canada or similar organization's policies is an asset-
  • Experience in database creation and management-
  • Ability to work with internal interfaces and apps including, but not limited to: Google, iO, LiveLink, SAP, ScheduAll, TEMS I would say that Google suite profency is highly prefered-
