Now Hiring - DevOps Analyst


The Listing Technology Support Group maintains the tools used by the issuers listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange and other stakeholders to interact with the Exchange in an easy-to-navigate, secure and efficient manner.

The web-based platform developed and maintained by the group allows the clients to file submissions and correspond with the Exchange while having full transparency into the progress of their transactions from start to finish.

It enables all transaction participants to manage the submissions, send and receive documents, communicate with the Exchanges, and manage payments, all through a user-friendly and highly secure system.

How does a DevOps Analyst contribute to TMX?- Work closely with the Agile teams to develop automation pipelines- Troubleshoot and provide support for all environments as required- Provide DevOps requirements to the Agile Teams for new products Are part of a Centre of Excellence in the practice of DevOps and to help spread a culture of innovation- Identify opportunities to make systems more resilient and efficient using automation- Debug systems and identify issues quickly and effectively by analyzing metrics- Interact with external technical support groups, vendors, and internal business to manage problems through to resolution- Proactively identify problem areas for the team both technically and procedurally and recommend improvements- Identify system resource bottlenecks and work with other teams to test and tune systems for optimal performance- Collaborate regularly with colleagues both inside and outside the team- Off-hours support (24/7), flexible working hours as required


Requirements:


  • Must have experience with Linux and Windows
  • Must have experience with automating deployment activities on the Salesforce platform
  • Must have experience with scripting Bash, Python, Perl, PowerShell
  • Must have experience with Java, JSON, JavaScript
  • Must have experience with Oracle, Postgress. PL/SQL skills are highly desirable
  • An inherent desire to automate everything
  • Excellent technical documentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be an active contributor in a collaborative environment and be willing to take on problem ownership within the team
  • The ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines 3 to 5 years of SysAdmin/DevOps experience on high availability production systems
  • Bilingual French and English is required
Nice to Have- Knowledge of financial markets- Knowledge with Ansible, Jenkins, Jira, Splunk and ServiceNow- Knowledge of APIs- Knowledge of at least one other Cloud Service Provider (e.g. AWS, GCEP, Azure)- Knowledge of container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes
