To drive continued success, we are seeking committed, skilled, and customer-focused individuals to join our Finance team as a
Financial Analyst for our Markham, Ontario office.


The
Financial Analyst supports the Senior Manager Financial Planning & Analysis in managing the systems and processes to monitor, analyze and report on operational results and company performance.

This opportunity allows the Financial Analyst to work cross-functionally and have an impact across the organization by enabling reporting and analysis on key aspects of the business.


Responsibilities


Assist the Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Manager in building and maintaining financial models to support annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and strategic business decisions as needed.


Become an expert in the use of the company's planning and reporting software, Vena, and support project managers and senior management in its use.

Assist project managers with tracking progress against their project deliverables by setting up and maintaining project trackers as needed.

Assist with monthly revenue reporting including preparation of month-end project specific analysis as well as monthly management reports.


Prepare the monthly bookings and backlog analysis and work closely with business development team to ensure the completeness and accuracy of report.

Assist with the preparation of the quarterly board package.

Produces ad hoc reports as required.

Collaborate with others in Finance to support overall department goals and objectives.

Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and systems to enhance workflows and drive efficiencies and standardization.


Requirements:

A. or B. Comm., or above.

One to three years of relevant financial experience.

Excellent analytical skills, problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.


Good organizational skills, flexible, with the ability to adapt and adjust to changing priorities and to manage multiple assignments with challenging/conflicting deadlines.

Detail-oriented, customer and quality focused.

Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Must be able to clearly explain financial details and concepts in layman's terms.

Self-starter and thrived in a high-growth and fast-paced environment.

Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel along with strong Word and PowerPoint ability.

Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
