    The Senior Manager, Corporate Procurement, as part of the Corporate Procurement Team, will be responsible for developing and driving procurement addressable spend strategy for Nutrien's corporate procurement in line with the Procurement Organization's objectives. The role will be a critical strategic partner to all Business Units (BU) and internal corporate customers in managing total spend while procuring quality products and services to meet company requirements. The Senior Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing Procurement best practices impacting policy, processes, tools & templates, and supplier management practices and driving continuous improvement and cost savings.

    What you will do:

    • Oversee Corporate pillars (IT, Finance, HR, Legal) in areas such as:
      • Act as business partner to Nutrien internal customer needs for sourcing, contracting and supplier strategies
      • Assess the industry/supplier landscape by performing market research and assessing supplier due diligence.
      • Manage the end-to-end S2P and supplier selection process and make recommendations for Goods and Services categories
      • Initiate supplier development and coordinate migration to potential new suppliers together with internal customers
      • Lead contract commercial negotiations with suppliers
      • Engage Legal, Cyber Security, Privacy Insurance, Treasury, SH&E, and other internal departments for the negotiation and vetting of contractual terms
      • Expectation to impact, engage, and partner with the corporate pillar landscape (IT, Finance, HR, Legal) and other business leaders within Nutrien
      • Care for ongoing supplier relationships and develop criteria and processes to monitor supplier compliance and performance. Conduct Business Reviews with suppliers, establishing KPIs and best practices for supplier performance (i.e., on-time delivery), cost savings, and other value-added services
    • People Leadership, direction, and oversight to direct report(s)
    • Have a thorough understanding of Procurement Policies, Processes, and Procedures and capable of implementing across all levels of Nutrien
    • Provide procurement support on project and cross-functional teams as needed
    • The incumbent will need to address competing interests, reluctant participants, and other barriers to participation in the supply chain – navigating many perspectives and positioning thoughtful and collaborative solutions to grow relationships

    What you will bring:

    • Bachelor of Business, Supply Chain Administration, Finance, or related field
    • Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in strategic sourcing and supply chain administration
    • Certifications in disciplines such as Procurement (SCMP/CPSM), Inventory Management (CIPS) an asset
    • Strategic sourcing experience and capabilities in:
      • Supplier negotiations & contraction implementation
      • Supplier relationship & contract administration
      • Supplier risk administration
      • RFI/RFQ/RFP processes
      • Negotiation techniques
      • Contract content and law
      • Understanding of cyber security and privacy best practices
    • Motivated, high-energy, and self-starter; demonstrated change agent with problem-solving skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with comfort working cross-functionally to gather information, influence and resolve conflicts
    • People guidance skills capable of managing a team process to meet defined goals
    • Practical experience with and/or knowledge of:
      • Enterprise asset administration systems (SAP/Oracle)
      • Spend administration tools (e.g., Ariba, Analysis & Reports)
      • E-sourcing & contract database tools, such as Ariba
      • Vendor Management Systems (VMS), such as Fieldglass.
    • High degree of ethics, discretion, honesty, fairness, and sound business practices to secure and maintain Nutrien's reputation in the market
