Description

Fairchild Television Ltd. is a national television station with offices in the GTA, Vancouver and Calgary. We offer Chinese programming in Cantonese and Mandarin and reach over 400,000 Chinese Canadians across Canada. We are looking for an Administration Manager for its Eastern Division located at Richmond Hill.

Major Responsibilities:

Handle human resources issues including recruitment, employment, orientation, staff welfare, discipline and employment equity.
Handle office accommodation, leasing and renovation issues
Develop, review, and improve administrative systems, policies, and procedures
Arrange the repair and maintenance of office equipment, telephones, heating & airconditioning and company cars etc.
Work with accounting and management team to set budgets, monitor spending, and processing payroll and other expenses
Serve as secretary to committees and prepare minutes of meetings
Supervise daytoday operations of the administrative department and staff members
Liaise with department heads regarding human resources and administration issues
Assist in workplace health and safety issues
Liaise with landlord as needed.
Assist at station events and functions

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or related field.
Experience in related field, such as management or financial reporting, preferred.
Familiar with Canada Labour Code and Employment Standards Act
Strong written communication skills in English and Chinese, and fluency in spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
Strong computer skills
Good interpersonal skills
Good judgment and commonsense
Good initiative and problem solving skills
Ability to handle assignments independently
Adaptable and flexible
Team player
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Detail oriented
Valid driver's license and access to vehicle

Tenure and Hours
Permanent and full time (40 hours per week).
