Job Title:
Interior Finishing Carpenter


Job Overview:

Responsibilities:

Install and finish interior trim, including baseboards, crown molding, and door casings, ensuring precision and high-quality craftsmanship.

Construct and install cabinetry, shelving units, and other built-in furniture according to specifications.

Repair or replace damaged woodwork and structures as needed.


Collaborate with other construction professionals, such as architects and interior designers, to ensure accurate interpretation and execution of project plans.

Measure and cut materials to fit specified dimensions, using hand tools, power tools, or machines.

Work with a variety of materials, including wood, laminate, and composite materials.

Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, and ensure a clean and organized work area.

Interpret and follow blueprints and project specifications.


Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Interior Finishing Carpenter or similar role.

Proficiency in using hand and power tools, including saws, drills, and sanders.

Knowledge of different wood types and their characteristics.

Strong attention to detail and precision in workmanship.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Physical stamina and strength for lifting and carrying heavy materials.

Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with other team members.


Education and Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent.

Completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program is a plus.

Certification in carpentry or a related field is advantageous.

Salary:
From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
