Position Type:
Permanent, Full Time
Schedule: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday - Friday
(_occasional evening or weekend based on program need_)
The Manager of Community and Clinical Services will provide supervision to the Housing Stability Team and clinical oversight to all Wyndham House programs and services.
They will provide leadership in terms of support and advocacy for youth aged 14-24 who are accessing Wyndham House programs.
Responsibilities:
Staff Supervision
Recruit, interview, and onboard Housing Stability Team positions
Provide direct supervision to 7 Case Managers, the Youth Hub Coordinator, and Concurrent Clinician
Provide crisis intervention support and follow-up and Critical Incident Debriefing to staff as needed
Manage Housing Stability Team caseloads
Conduct weekly case consultation meetings with client case managers to review high-risk cases
Regularly review case notes and intervention plans to provide feedback
Program Oversight and Support
Review and oversee the implementation of client treatment plans in Transitional Housing and New Way Classroom
Oversee clinical interventions for Bellevue and Suffolk programs, including individual and group DBT interventions, and ongoing interventions and case consultations with front-line staff
Manage and oversee the Integrated Youth Service Hub Program
Provide direct support to staff in managing challenging cases in all programs
Conduct ongoing evaluation and reporting as required by various funders
Community Engagement
Attend committee and strategic planning meetings
Attend community-level planning meetings and consult with community partners around collaborative case management strategies and shared interventions
Administration
Support the arrangements of billings and contracts with funders and community partners
Oversee, review and submit Case Manager budgets monthly
Skills and Qualifications
A Masters of Social Work (MSW) or related degree and registration with a relevant college
3 Years experience working with vulnerable population in a community setting (prefer experience working with at-risk youth)
2 Years experience providing direct supervision to staff in a human service agency (prefer direct oversight of case managers)
Working knowledge of the Mental Health Act, Youth Criminal Justice Act, Landlord-Tenant Act, Ontario Works, Ontario Disability Support Plan, and the Child and Family Service Act as they pertain to work with high-risk youth and homelessness
Current knowledge of the issues facing homeless young people and a commitment to the housing first philosophy
Demonstrated crisis management, conflict resolution, problem solving and priority-setting abilities
Demonstrated ability to support employees through challenging situations and provide effective feedback, coaching and clinical supervision.
Clinical training in modalities that are relevant to the position including but not limited to training Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Motivational Interviewing
Skilled in engaging with community partners to create collaborative support plans
Experience conducting therapy in a clinical setting is considered an asset
Requirements:
Registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers in Good Standing
Emergency First Aid/CPR
Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check
