THE ROLE
As a Bar Supervisor, you will contribute to an excellent customer experience in the military messes, golf, curling and marinas bar operations.
You will organize, supervise and schedule the day-to-day bar activities for the bar staff for big events and the everyday moments.
You will build a rapport with the military community and be part of various military traditions.
The Bar Supervisor will provide administrative support to bar operations and a variety of services such as preparing and serving beverages, maintaining inventory of bar stock and ordering supplies and assisting in the set-up and take down of social and military functions.
You will operate a Point of Sales system; prepare reports on cash/inventory transactions such as daily sales reports (DSR) and ensure compliance with provincial liquor legislation and regulations.
This is a role where everyone works as one team to provide the best customer experience for our military members and community and contributes in creating a fun and positive workplace.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED Education, Certifications and Licenses**College diploma or certificate in Hospitality or Food Management, or related field and some years of experience in hospitality, food and beverage service
(OR High school diploma and several years of experience in beverage sector or a related field)
Must be of legal age to serve alcohol (Province)
Must possess a Responsible Service of Alcohol certification (Province)
Valid Driver's Licence (Province), an asset

OTHER INFORMATION
Perform heavy lifting, carrying, pulling and/or pushing (i.e. more than 50 lbs/23 kg).
Mess Operational Hours:
hrs Monday through Thursday and Friday hrs. Special Events and Private Functions can occur outside of operational hours.
Full Time unionized employees are required to work 32 to 40 hours per week. Shift hours will be during mess operational hours and there is some flexibility in scheduling shifts. The Bar Supervisor may be required to work occasional weekend events.
