THE OPPORTUNITY

Our Medical Affairs team is looking for a student to join our team As the Physician Recruitment Assistant, you will provide support with Medical Education; assist with coordinating education placements, conduct site orientations, and general office support.

You will collaborate with learners, preceptors, and communities, and utilize our data management system, ensuring all learner data is accurately recorded.

You will work closely with the Physician Recruitment and Credentialing Specialist to support all education, recruitment and retention initiatives for the Professional Staff of Georgian Bay General Hospital and the Southern Georgian Bay Community.

Job Requirements:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be involved in providing support to the Medical Affairs team and some responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):

Liaising with learners, preceptors, and various departmental staff to coordinate medical learner placements
Assisting with creating social media posts for physician recruitment initiatives
Assisting with data entry management for medical learners
Assisting with data management in our credentialing software
Assisting with coordinating all medical affairs events
Other duties as assigned to support the Medical Affairs Team

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Currently enrolled in one of the following programs: Undergraduate Medical Student in final year of a program; Undergraduate student working towards Medical School
Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Demonstrated knowledge of data management and research skills
Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills with proven ability to take initiative
Excellent verbal, written, communication and organizational skills
Ability to adapt to change in a fastpaced working environment
Commitment to GBGH Values and Purpose Statement
As a partially designated French speaking organization, French verbal and written communication skills are considered an asset in this position
