Northern Gold Foods is a leading manufacturer of a wide range of healthy great tasting breakfast and snack food products.

Our Port Coquitlam facility is currently seeking an
HR/Payroll Administratorto join our team - 1 year term.

This is a full time position _available immediately through to the end of December 2023_ with a possibility of extending thereafter.

As part of your role, you will:_

  • Use Payworks to process biweekly hourly payroll for 185 staff in BC & Ontario including electronic timesheet review for completeness/accuracy, adding/removing staff and maintenance of employee profiles
  • Perform additional payroll reporting/tracking including turnover, overtime, vacation, WorkSafeBC reporting
  • Reconcile payroll register and prepare journal entry for accounting
  • Maintain hardcopy personnel records
  • Maintain group benefit plan: adding, removing, changes, communication with staff
  • Assist with hourly staff recruiting including placing employment ads, screening, interviewing, reference checking and new hire orientation
  • Other payroll and benefits related tasks as required

What we're looking for:_

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills including Office 365 suite and Adobe
  • Precise data entry skills, excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail
  • 3+ years of payroll and benefits experience

Compensation:_

  • Wages based on experience: $25$28/hour
- _Training/mentoring for this position will be provided_
