Mac-Weld Machining Ltd. is seeking an

Accounting Assistant to take on the task of sharing our vision locally and globally.

Skills & Responsibilities

Biweekly processing of payroll for all employees.
Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, changes to pay rates and other information.
Post and reconcile customer payments.
Code, total, batch, enter, verify and reconcile transactions such as accounts payable and receivable, payroll, invoices and credit card statements.
Process credit card payments.
Investigate and resolve problems associated with processing of invoices and purchase orders.
File and maintain accounting documents and reports.
Creation of supplier/vendor accounts in accounting system.
Respond to customer inquiries demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
Assist in Month End/Year End process
Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

Diploma in business, accounting, or related field.
12 years' of accounting experience.
Working knowledge of ADP considered an asset.
Payroll experience an asset
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills and must be able to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
Must be highly accurate with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills

This is a full-time position in our Sarnia facility

Remuneration:
$42,000 - $48,000 annually

Signing Bonus:

New employees will receive a signing bonus of $500 after successfully completing their three month probationary period, and $1000 after one year of continuous employment.

The employee must be on active payroll for the entire timeframe to qualify
