Description
Duties:
- Assist the head cook in preparing and cooking meals according to recipes and food safety guidelines
- Help with food preparation, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring ingredients
- Assist in setting up and organizing the kitchen before and after meal service
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure food safety and prevent crosscontamination
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen area
- Assist in inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and notifying the head cook of any shortages or expired ingredients
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a food service or kitchen environment is an asset
- Knowledge of basic food safety practices and procedures
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's schedule
Salary:
Up to $17.00 per hour
Expected hours:
per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
