As a Junior Accountant, you will interact with Sales, Purchasing, Accounting, and Administrative staff to support medical equipment sales, including handling various types of transactions, creating invoices, and processing payments


Typically, you will:

  • Monitor incoming payments (cheques/EFTs).
  • Bank account reconciliation.
  • Communicate with funding agencies and Insurance companies regarding approvals and payments.
  • Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and customer queries; work with branch managers and customer service representatives to contact customers, as needed.
  • Monitor customer account details for nonpayments and delayed payments; escalate concerns to branch managers.
  • Carry out billing, collection, and reporting activities according to specific deadlines and requirements, e.g., summarized billing to thirdparty funders according to contract requirements.
  • Record customer deliveries, billings, reservations, and service. Prepare work orders (WOs), customer orders, etc.
  • Record vendor invoices, match to purchase order (PO) receipts, and process payments within deadlines.
  • Reconcile vendor statements for accuracy.

Job requirements

  • Atleast 1 year of experience in Accounts Receivable (A/R) and Accounts Payable (A/P).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Sage experience is preferable
  • Mathematical background and aptitude
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized
  • Solid planning and time management abilities
  • Manage data within the inhouse systems.
