Boeing Canada Winnipeg Is looking for an
Associate
Quality Systems Specialist that will report to the Quality Manager working out of the
Winnipeg, Manitoba branch. The
Associate Quality Systems Specialist **oversees product and process quality ensuring quality standards are consistently maintained.


Position Responsibilities:


  • Reviews and validates product nonconformance and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements.
  • Performs analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations and processes to Quality Management System requirements, applicable company procedures, contract requirements, or government regulations.
  • Reviews and approves planning changes or disposition of nonconformance hardware product/processes.
  • Assists in review and preparation of quality assurance plans and first article inspection plans for products.
  • Maintains Quality directives policies processes procedures and metrics to assure program contract customer regulatory requirements international standards and working agreements are deployed using established procedures.
  • Assists system level audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards configuration assurance related business regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Collects and verifies data to support the identification of root cause routine problems and provides ideas and concepts for corrective action development.
  • Works under general supervision.
  • Provide technical support to the quality inspectors.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 2+ years of experience or knowledge of Quality Management Systems
  • Experience/knowledge of production processes within a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design, GD&T)
  • Knowledge of data systems and configuration management principles and processes
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft office
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):


  • Prefer experience with identifying root cause of routine problems and providing recommendations for corrective action
  • Prefer Knowledge of the quality system (e.g., Boeing Quality Management System (BQMS), International Organization for Standardization (ISO9001), Aerospace Standard (AS91001)
  • Experience with Material Review Board authority
  • Prefer knowledge of statistical analysis concepts
  • Prefer knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed by various operations and engineering departments
  • Aerospace or Aviation experience
  • Postsecondary Education

Typical Education and Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+1 years' related work experience, 7 years' related work experience, etc.).
