Description

A postdoc position at the EECS School at the University of Ottawa is available to develop machine learning models to detect and classify elderly people's falls.

The sensor that will be used is radar. Knowledge of deep learning and signal processing is required, and experience working with radars is desirable. Good software skills are needed.


You will be working in a multidisciplinary team that includes scientists in different fields from the University of Ottawa, as well as several other Canadian universities and research centers.

The applicants must possess a Ph.
D. degree in STEM disciplines obtained in the past three years, with evidence of research productivity. Applicants must show that their previous research or industrial work is related to the project. Good oral and written English skills are required.


Salary:
$45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year


Ability to Relocate:

  • Ontario, CA: Relocate before starting work (required)
