    Junior Accountant

    Edmonton, Alberta, On-Site

    Compensation: $40,000 - $55,000 per year, plus potential bonus

    Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day

    At DCCHail we are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our team. DCCHail provides a full paintless dent service for our retail customers, to repair damage caused by hail. We work closely with insurers, dealerships and body shops to repair dents on their vehicles.

  • Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for daily data entry for the accounting function
  • Assist the controller with preparation of month-end
  • Various daily and monthly reconciliations
  • Processing employee travel and expense claims
  • Preparation of bank deposits and daily cash report
  • Preparation of bank reconciliations
  • Communication with suppliers to resolve invoicing issues
  • Collection of insurance receivables
  • Posting of daily transactions for Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable
  • Preparing payments for review and issuing to vendors
  • Assisting with implementation and maintenance of internal financial controls and procedures
  • General administrative duties and month-end tasks
  • Other duties as required
  • Requirements:

  • Completion of an Accounting Degree is considered an asset
  • At least 1 year of related experience is preferred
  • Experience with Sage Business Works would be considered an asset
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment with an ability to multi-task and set priorities to meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational and time management skills
  • Flexible to work on a wide variety of projects, tasks, and assignments
  • Ready to work overtime when needed
  • Responding easily to changing priorities
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Excel & Word)
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
