The Digital and Analytics Strategy Division is designing new business and investment strategies to capitalize on opportunities to transform our citizens' experience of healthcare.

The Division's role is to lead the implementation of the digital health strategy and policy for the Province of Ontario across all sectors of healthcare.


Digital Health refers to using information and information technology, such as hospital information systems and electronic medical records, to improve the healthcare system.

Technology advances over the last decade open up the possibility of new ways to get healthcare, from video visits with your doctor, to electronically viewing your own health record, to booking appointments online, to downloading an app to monitor your blood pressure and talk to a nurse.


The Digital and Analytics Strategy Division is seeking a highly motivated self-starter to provide research, prograM/Financial analysis to support the Branch in the management of digital health as well as liaise with stakeholders on accountability, financial and performance issues.

What can I expect to do in this role?: In this role, you will:

  • Lead and support the oversight of a portfolio of digital health initiatives with a view to maximizing the government's return on investment and achieving public benefit
  • Analyze complex digital health program and policy issues to support executive decisionmaking
  • Lead business and financial performance reviews, develop transfer payment agreements, key performance indicators and program evaluation plans
  • Manage internal and external health system stakeholder relationships
  • Conduct reviews of digital health business proposals from the healthcare system and provide advice and recommendations on investment decisions

How do I qualify?:


Technical Knowledge:

You have:

  • Knowledge of the health care system and digital health
  • An understanding of the provincial and ministry strategic directions, and key objectives pertaining to health service/delivery as well as relevant legislation and critical issues impacting the health sector

Business Analysis Skills:

You have:

  • Strong business management research and analysis skills to conduct financial analysis, assess performance and financial results reports, and assist in the development of performance measures and risk assessment techniques
  • Knowledge of digital health policy development and program evaluation techniques

Communication, Interpersonal and Consultation Skills:

You can:

  • Provide strategic advisory services and recommendations to senior decision-makers, liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders and build strong relationships, and promote effective issues resolution
  • Demonstrate written communication skills and presentation skills
  • Work effectively on collaborative projects

Organizational, Planning and Coordination Skills:

You can:

  • Manage multiple, competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Show initiative, flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Work independently and as part of a team
