Northwest Sheet Metal_ is a family business coming up to it's 18th year, we are a premier SMACNA Contractor that employs over 100 performing ventilation systems throughout BC, we have many employees that are 10 years plus with us, there are some that started from the pre-apprentice position and now are foreman We perform all aspects of ventilation, like working at YVR, many hospitals, those high rises you see, BC Place stadium, SFU, UBC etc. This company promotes itself on being a leader in our industry while still having that family feeling

We are looking for a MEP detailer that is efficient in ventilation drawings, have knowledge of SYSQUE and TRIMBLE.

Applicant must be able to detail to level 400.

Act as "Detailer and Coordinator" for assigned projects
Coordinate with BIM service providers and Subcontractors
Create models including structure, architectural elements, and MEP systems ( mainly HVAC)
Create new library components
Develop models to illustrate contractor questions and solutions
Create a constructible model. Spool lengths comply with client or site restrictions. Routings are inaccessible areas. The model is fully installable
Distribute new and revised models showing changes and RFI answers
Track all project activities/actions through daily logs
Update as‐built and revised Building Information Model, keep revision log
Assist to process shop/fabrication level models for approval
Assist in setup and maintaining all control logs (RFIs, shop drawings, asbuilts, etc.)
Assist with coordinating models with internal and subcontractor detailers and modelers
Attend and/or assist in model coordination meetings and document project preconstruction
Assist project team with construction coordination and scheduling Calculate quantities for material orders and crew work planning
Model constructability issues and solutions for self‐performed work
Participate in job layout driven by Level 400 specified 3D model data Prepare "shop drawing" level 3D models for self‐performed work
Produce dimensioned drawings from the model for field use
Performs complex drafting assignments utilizing CAD and Revit (addin Sysque MEP)
