    Job Description

    The Product Management team is at core part of Epsilon Corporation, responsible for data acquisition initiatives within the company. We continuously explore new sources and innovative ideas to enhance business performance.

    As a Product Data Analyst on our team, your primary focus will be on enhancing data quality, extracting valuable insights, and presenting data-driven findings to members from diverse teams. To accomplish this, you will utilize various software and databases across Epsilon to extract, analyze, and interpret data using statistical tools and techniques, and subsequently report on business performance.

    Independent role reporting to Senior Director, Product Management.

    Hybrid role: 1 day per week (Wednesday) in office in downtown Toronto and remote the rest of the week.

    Responsibility

  • Ongoing, detailed analysis of Shopper's Voice US and Canadian consumer databases, data acquisition sources, consumer profiles, and specific data variables to monitor data quality, consistency, and performance.
  • Track and report consumer acquisition results and expenditures and how it compares to plan numbers and past quarters or years.
  • Validate data quality of new data sources.
  • Analyze and report by data source ongoing US and Canada data quality benchmarks for the Shopper's Voice data.
  • Report consumer acquisition quantities and contribute to the annual data acquisition forecasting.
  • Analyze and report on survey response data for contradictions, abnormal answer patterns, and duration.
  • Forecast and analyze postal and email universes by using time-series models.
  • Build and maintain Tableau dashboard, using storytelling to share digital platform data driven insights to stakeholders from different teams.
  • Work together with the Consumer Insights team to translate business requests into programming code and generate the necessary results to meet the desired business goals.
  • Create reports that monitor campaign metrics and KPIs, such as open rates and click rates, in order to evaluate the performance of the email products.
  • Communicate to key cross-functional team any issues, findings, and recommendations both in writing and presentations.
  • Integrate raw data from diverse sources, clean the data, and provide valuable insights and actionable recommendations as needed, i.e., compare raw census data with Shopper's Voice data.
  • Review data report processes and recommend where efficiencies can be achieved.
  • Manage reporting requirements in collaboration with Data Engineering and Application Engineering teams.
  • Knowledge/Skills

  • Post-secondary degree – statistical analysis specialty required.
  • Excellent logical thinking abilities, critical thinking, attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of data mining techniques and procedures and knowing when their use is appropriate.
  • Able to work independently, manage priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience using SAS, or other statistical packages for analyzing large datasets – SAS will be used.
  • 2 years of experience working with data in Python, including handling, manipulating, analyzing data, basic modeling, and visualization skills
  • Minimum 1 year of experience using Business Intelligence tool Tableau to ingest data and create interactive dashboards.
  • High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Basic knowledge in SQL, both in SQL server and SAS SQL.
  • Working knowledge of UNIX, an asset.
  • Google Analytics, Hadoop experience, an asset.
  • Digital, direct marketing or CRM experience, an asset.
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presentations.
  • Ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
