Description

Duties:

Sweep, mop, wash, wax and polish floors
Dust furniture and vacuum carpeting and area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture
Organize toy materials to make sure order in activity areasSterilize bottles and prepare formulas (for infants and toddlers and if needed)
Perform housekeeping duties, like laundry, cleaning, and dish washing
Sanitize toys and play equipment
Maintain a safe play environment
Assist in preparing food as well as serving meals, refreshments to children
Ensure that parking lot and sidewalks are salted to ensure there are no slipping hazards.
Ensure that all sidewalks are cleared of snow before the daycare opens and kept clear throughout the day.
Clean the windows on the front entrance, exit and service center doors on a daily basis.

Perform other related general cleaning duties

Stock linen closets and other supplies' areas
Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
Clean and disinfect areas such as infant rooms, toddler rooms, preschool rooms, and washroom.
Pick up debris and empty trash containers
Report and store lost and found items
May provide basic information on facilities
May handle complaints.

Experience:

Previous experience in facilities maintenance or cleaning is preferred but not required
Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
Good time management skills to prioritize and complete assigned duties within specified timeframes
