Job description
I'm building a marketing finance spreadsheet. We need an experienced financial analyst to build a comprehensive Google Sheets financial model from a detailed PRD specification.What you'll build:
A 12-tab Google Sheets master template that serves as the financial engine for marketing operations.
The model calculates customer acquisition cost, lifetime value,
LTV:
CAC ratios, budget pacing, marketing P&L, and channel-level economics — using actual business data rather than ad platform metrics.
The workbook includes:
Setup & Configuration tab with three business model type configurations (Ecommerce/DTC, Lead Gen/Services, SaaS/Subscription)
Unit Economics Model with blended and channel-level CAC, LTV, and
LTV:
CAC calculations
LTV Model with cohort retention tracking and channel-level lifetime value analysis
Budget & Forecast Model with 12-month forward view and three-scenario planning
Marketing P&L with plan vs actual variance analysis
Monthly Performance Tracker (daily data input tab with platform-reported AND first-party metrics side by side)
Budget Pacing Dashboard with real-time spend tracking against plan
Channel Economics with efficiency ranking and budget-share-vs-efficiency-share diagnostic
Agent Input/Output tabs (structured summary tabs that feed our AI analysis layer)
Executive Summary (clean, CFO-ready single-page view)
What makes this project straightforward:
You'll be building from a detailed PRD that specifies every tab, every field, every formula, every data type, and every cross-tab reference.
What makes this project require skill:
The formula architecture must be clean and auditable — a CFO should be able to trace any number to its source
Three business model configurations must switch cleanly based on a single dropdown selection
All cross-tab references must use named ranges and explicit cell references — no hardcoded values
Error handling (IFERROR) on all division formulas
Conditional formatting for status indicators throughout (green/yellow/red)
The model must work correctly with synthetic test data for all three business model types
Required Skills:
Advanced Google Sheets:
complex formulas, VLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, cross-tab references, named ranges, data validation, conditional formatting
Financial modeling experience:
unit economics, P&L structure, variance analysis, scenario modeling
Clean workbook architecture:
logical tab organization, consistent formatting, protected formula cells
Bonus:
Experience with marketing/advertising financial models (CAC, LTV, ROAS, contribution margin)
