    Building Design Consultant

    Location: Virtually Connected (United States is preferred but open to candidates in Canada)

    Position Summary:

    Bentley Systems is seeking a talented individual to become a valued member of our Americas Success Services team as a Building Design Consultant. A Building Design Consultant plays an important role in delivering consulting, configuration, and training services and is responsible for analyzing our software users' business and technical requirements to develop solutions that meet those needs.

    Your Day-to-Day:

    • Deliver consulting, configuration, and training services on Bentley's OpenBuildings Designer, ProStructures, and MicroStation applications to existing and new software users
    • Provide services toward the migration of our software users to the latest version of OpenBuildings Designer CONNECT Edition and ProStructures
    • Assist in preparation of technical proposals and benchmarks.
    • Perform software product training activities, project assessments, reviews, and audits.
    • Collaborate with product development groups to continually improve the quality of the product based on user input.
    • Serve as the primary liaison between company and software users.
    • Develop and conduct technical presentations
    • Create learning content in the form of written documentation, videos and webinars
    • Does this role require communication with Managers, peers and other colleagues of the company in person, and/or by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling and meeting functions.
    • Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements).

    What You Bring to The Team:

    • Technical degree or closely related degree required
    • Minimum 5 years of industry experience in the building design field is required.
    • Knowledge of industry standard building codes and best practices
    • Ability to travel domestically approximately 25% of the time is required
    • Experience with OpenBuildings Designer (or AECOsim) and MicroStation is required. Experience with ProStructures is preferred. Experience with other related industry building design and CADD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) is beneficial.
    • Experience in configuring and maintaining Bentley application workspaces deployed to an enterprise
    • Fluency in English is essential. Ability to speak French or Spanish is beneficial but not required.
    • Excellent written and oral communication as well as strong presentation skills.
    • Ability to learn and effectively demonstrate, configure and consult on the Bentley OpenBuildings Designer, ProStructures and MicroStation.
    • Ability to work on significant professional services projects with little supervision and lead others when needed
    • Experience with and knowledge of architectural and building design workflows
    • Knowledge of Bentley ProjectWise is beneficial
