Painter Job Description


Duties:


  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or cracks
  • Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired shades
  • Use masking tape and drop cloths to protect surrounding areas from paint splatters
  • Repair and touch up painted surfaces as necessary
  • Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment

Requirements:


  • Proven experience as a painter or similar role
  • Knowledge of different painting techniques and materials
  • Familiarity with safety precautions and procedures when working with paints and chemicals
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and precision in workmanship
  • Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods of time
  • Excellent color vision and ability to distinguish shades accurately
