Maintenance Technician Associate - Selkirk, Canada - Opta Group LLC
Description
Duties/Responsibilities- Provide technical support on production equipment as well as train other employees on the use of equipment.
- Seek actions to improve or update existing equipment; make recommendations when necessary.
- Maintain all technical documentation related to its activities (technical plan, work procedure, drawings, etc.).
- Regularly perform system inspections to ensure they are functioning properly.
- Assist the Supervisor on related critical parts inventory.
- Provide technical support to upgrade obsolete systems or parts.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, pneumatic & mechanical systems.
- Use of mechanical tools.
- Able to drive a forklift.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to lift 25kg.
- Comfortable with bending, lifting, standing, crawling and laying while working.
- Able to work at heights with the proper use of PPE.
- WHMIS Training, violence & harassment training, fall arrest training, and forklift training will all be provided but previous experience an asset.
- Educational and/or relevant industrial experience.
- Technical Diploma with minimum 2 years relevant experience or Associates Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience is an asset.
- Physically and highly active role.
- Able to lift 25kg as needed.
