OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the Property Manager, the Property Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination of maintenance, repairs, scheduling, and monitoring of Shawenim Abinoojii properties, vehicles, equipment, furniture.

The primary responsibilities are to manage the overall coordination with maintenance workers, internal departments, and external service providers.


KEY RESPONSIBILITES:


  • Manage and maintain the property management software for the organization ensuring all information is captured efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintain a process for employees and departments for maintenance and repairs requests on properties and vehicles.
  • Develop and distribute Request For Proposals when required for external service providers.
  • Work with designated providers to assess and install internet, telephone, and cable based on needs of new offices, foster homes and visiting homes and coordinate with managers and IT needs for new employee set up
  • Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure maintenance and repairs are examined accurately.
  • Track and monitor furniture, appliances, equipment, including materials, keys, and security systems.
  • Ensure proper invoicing and payment for all property and maintenance are completed.
  • Ensure standards are met for Insurance and act as the liaison if claims are required.
  • Manage SAI lease agreements and vehicle records on daily basis and maintained property.
  • Arrange utility hook ups, disconnections and any changes as required.
  • Order equipment, furniture, and supplies as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Completion of postsecondary education from a recognized institution will be considered.
  • Strong Interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills is considered an asset.
  • Ability to work effectively SECFS communities and willing to travel to communities.
  • Experience in HIPPOcmms management property database is preferred.
  • Must a valid Manitoba driver's license and a reliable vehicle an asset.
  • Must have a current satisfactory Child Abuse Registry Check, Adult Abuse Registry Check, Criminal Record check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), and Prior Contact Check as conditions of employment.
