Description
We are looking for a Microbiologist to join our team.


Responsibilities:


  • Perform all analytical testing for the samples, recording and updating of results in LIMS.
  • Maintain accurate records of all performed procedures in assisting in implementation of ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and GMP/cGMP in the laboratory
  • Maintain the good laboratory housekeeping and ensure Health, Safety and Environment standard are adhered
  • Assist with laboratory organization, supply inventory, calibrations, and cleaning and maintenance of laboratory equipment
  • Some clerical work may be involved including data entry and logging in of samples for the Microbiology department
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet laboratory needs

Skills / Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in microbiology or equivalent combination of education and experience with 3 years' experience in a related analytical field
  • Must be able to multitask and adhere to requirements of the Quality Management System
  • Experience with NHP samples, surface samples, food testing, bacteriology, and mycology is desirable
  • Knowledge of technical requirements as per compendia (USP/NF, BP/EP, AOAC), inhouse methods and general QC laboratory procedures
  • Analytical investigations and simple troubleshooting of out of specification and suspect results
  • Attention to detail, ability to maintain client confidentiality
  • Able to work independently and with a team
  • Must be able to work well under pressure and meet short deadlines

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Leduc, AB T9E 0Z4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
