Ionic Engineering, operating as
Ionic Mechatronics, is looking for a self-motivated, high-caliber and creative Project Manager to join our multi-disciplinary design and service team.
Specific experience in one or more of the following is required:
- Project Management or Design of automated and robotic systems
- Project Management or Design of machinery in mining or other heavy industry
- Project Management or Design of Electrical systems and Control Systems for Automation and/or Manufacturing Processes
- Project Management or Design of hydraulic and pneumatic control systems
- Familiarity with Basic Design Software for Electrical or Mechanical Design Systems (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MicroStation, AutoCAD, Rockwell/Siemens/Schneider Software, Robotic Systems Software etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills is a requirement
- Must be able to work independently on a complete design package and in a team environment
Experience and Skills that are asset to this position:
- Project cycles management: Initiating, Planning, Monitoring and Control, Closing
- Time Management
- Estimating and Project Costing
- Verbal and Written Communication, Reporting and Reports Writing
- Engineering, design and programming of automated equipment
- Machine Control and Safety standards familiarity
- Knowledge of instrumentation and electrical control systems experience would be an asset
- Startup, construction management and commissioning experience would be an asset
- Professional designation with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) is an asset
- Project Management designation with Project Management Institute (PMI) is an asset
- Ability to occasionally travel locally and abroad
Key Functions:
- Develop project scopes, project schedules, and other project related plans
- Manage project budgets, teams, schedules, scope, quality, risks, impact, value,
- Assist in development of concepts of machine design, automation equipment, programming, electrical systems, and hydraulic and pneumatic control systems
- Review, check and develop drawing packages for various stages of the projects
- Conduct technical studies, equipment and systems performance audits and generate reports
- Write technical documents and reports for various stages on mining and industrial projects
- Participate in testing and commissioning machines and systems at factory and customer facilities
- Lead project technical design teams
- Liaise with customer, suppliers, contractors and functional management teams
- Manage projects and customer communications as required

Licence/Certification:
