Our Kingsville Headquarters is currently seeking a Project Manager-Greenhouse Operations to join our Greenhouse Operations team The essential function of this role is accountable for planning and allocating resources, preparing budgets, monitoring progress, and keeping stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle.

Primary Responsibilities:

Establish and maintain processes to manage scope over the project lifecycle, setting project quality and performance standards, and assessing and managing risk within, and across, multiple projects
Develop and maintain partnerships with outside resources—including third-party vendors and researchers
Monitor and assign resources appropriately to streamline project efficiency and maximize deliverable outputs
Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels as needed—escalating issues as necessary based on project work plans
Create long
- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines. Adhere to the critical path and have a plan to mitigate issues that invariably arise
Delegate tasks on the project to employees/external vendors best positioned to complete them - Know the team's strengths and weaknesses, together and individually
Make effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project within guideline
Serve as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy
Communicating with management to keep the project aligned with their goals
Perform quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected
Adjust schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project change
Gather requirements, deliverables, and timeframes from stakeholders
Agree on priorities with management
Plan resources
Communicate key milestones
Produce reports for management (e.g., performance metrics)


Project management:

Accountable for planning and allocating resources, preparing budgets, monitoring progress, and keeping stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle. All of this takes place within the framework of achieving the company's goals/vision.
Must be able to work with a sense of urgency and pivot without losing track of many ongoing projects - Large and small
Knowledge and the ability to utilize project management software such as Microsoft project is a must to plan, monitor and achieve set goals and timeline while updating all invested parties


Key Objectives:

Build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance, providing purpose, direction, and motivation. A project team can involve external, internal or 3rd party resources.
Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation plans, including risk mitigation
Coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets, in collaboration with project staff from various functional departments
Analyze project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope, timelines, and costs to ensure that project team adheres to project requirements
Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status updates and changes


Skills and Qualifications:

7+ years project management experience
Experience in greenhouse agricultural projects is seen as an asset
Hands-on experience with developing construction projects with a focus on those involving electrical, irrigation, heating, cooling and structural
Strong ability to multitask
Must understand how to read
