- Assist with substation and overhead lines/underground cable routing layout & configuration design for high, medium, and low voltage projects;
- Assist with project development, scope, and budget;
- Attend client design review meetings;
- Conduct field site inspections and field reports;
- Gain knowledge of power system studies and analysis using engineering software packages such as PLS- CAD, EasyPower, SKM, ETAP, Win-IGS, CDEGS, and PS-CADD;
- Prepare electrical equipment specifications, electrical installation scope of work documents, and Performance specifications;
- Assisting the engineering teams with drafting and CAD updates to drawings;
- Prepare, review and complete drawing mark-ups;
- Prepare and issue drawing packages;

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Junior Drafter/Design Technician to join our engineering team on a full time basis in our Winnipeg office.
We offer a dynamic work environment with an extremely experienced technical team, where you will be continuously challenged in all aspects of the engineering and design process.
Work within a project team of engineers and designers in our Substation and Line Design Group;Knowledge of the Microsoft office software suite of programs.
Entry Level Position. Previous experience working on HV Substation designs for Utilities in North America would be considered an asset.
Previous exposure to drafting software such as MicroStation or AutoCAD would be an asset
