Your Opportunity:

This position is a float role between Airdrie and Didsbury.
Exciting opportunity as a Health Care Aide (HCA) Float, covering planned and unplanned staff absences.
Responsibilities include providing personal care, assisting with daily activities, and offering respite care.
Expected to provide emotional support and work various shifts.

Description:

As a Health Care Aide (HCA), you will provide personal assistance, support daily activities, and offer comfort to patients requiring short-term or ongoing help.

You play a key role in delivering safe, quality care while reflecting the vision and values of AHS.

Required Qualifications:

Active status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory.
Confirmation of enrolment from the Directory.
Must meet specific criteria and provide proof of qualification.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS-HCP) certification within the last 12 months.
Proficiency in verbal and written English.
Time management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Ability to work in a team and operate a laptop and mobile phone.
Manual handling abilities and possession of a valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

Ideal candidate will have a Medication Assistance Certificate or relevant experience.
Experience in health care with vulnerable populations in a community setting.
