This role will focus on CST Provider Education.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Maintain clinical competency, practice standards of care, and knowledge; and support the integration of evidence-based practice in the delivery of quality care/services.
  • Demonstrate experience in policy and procedure development and/or clinical documentation standards,
  • Demonstrate knowledge regarding new trends in clinical practice and information systems.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of project management practices, methodologies and principles.
  • Demonstrate ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with technical, operational and vendor staff.

What you'll do

  • Works under the guidance of Senior Leaders and collaboratively with program leaders, educators, and staff to assess program and crossprogram clinical education needs and priorities and develops learning strategies and education plans to meet those needs. Implements and evaluates resulting learning programs.
  • Provides education, consultation, guidance and support to clinical educators on curriculum design, materials development and effective learning strategies including teaching, facilitation and simulation and provides onthejob support to clinical educators and staff. Assists with sitewide implementation and coordination of initiatives. Establishes evaluation plans using logic and Kirkpatrick models to ensure learning programs are meeting learning outcomes.
  • Leads the development, implementation and maintenance of assigned competencybased learning programs for orientation and continuing education of clinical staff, integrating these with professional practice standards and the performance management process. Ensures the development and updating of resources to support such education in order to develop and maintain staff competency with changing procedures, processes and clinical equipment.
  • Leads the review of existing specialty education programs and projects to inform current curriculum development and implementation. Engages with clinical, academic and other stakeholders to ensure highquality specialty education design that is in alignment with provincial, PHSA, and C&W priorities or needs, such as human resource planning, professional standards and competencies.
  • Ensures specialized programs/projects deliverables are completed on time and on budget, as identified in the project plan. Identifies gaps and tracks metrics as they relate to the project deliverables and provides consultation, guidance and support to designated project staff, contractors and stakeholders.**

Qualifications:


  • A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree of Science in Nursing or other clinical profession plus additional studies in education with a minimum of five (5) years clinical experience including two (2) years of education experience.
  • Strong communication, coaching and program evaluation skills are required.

  • Superior organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple programs and work under pressure of deadlines.
