Canadian Supply Chain Manager

The company has more than 70 locations, 12 located in Canada, through which it distributes products, equipment, and chemicals, and provides customers with other value-added services including equipment repair, equipment rental and education.


Summary

The Canadian Supply Chain Manager will utilize his or her exceptional forecasting skills and methods to improve the efficiency of company operations in pursuit of corporate objectives.

The Canadian Supply Chain Manager is responsible for the direct management and planning of goods and materials for consumption or use by the organization.

This includes creating specific forecasts for items over a given time span, which shall be used for inventory management purposes, strategic ordering, and vendor selection.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Leadership of team

  • Responsible for management of replenishment team to meet their goals
  • Recruitment and ongoing team development; including Coaching/mentoring team while building team morale
  • Communication of the company direction to team
  • Host weekly team meetings and biweekly one on ones, to address concerns and drive employee engagement
  • Ensure all performance reviews are being executed within scheduled timelines
  • Lead all reorganizing efforts as they relate to Replenishment management, planning, and execution systems.
  • Utilize data analysis, business intelligence, and reporting tools to forecast supply and material needs across the organization.
  • Monitor developments within incountry and external markets to source materials and meet current/future replenishment needs.
  • Supervise the demand planning and forecasting processes, and ensures established tools and methods are applied.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators and metrics for replenishment planning and forecasting; enact changes based on findings.
  • Develop and, if necessary, implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans in pursuit of risk management goals.
  • Develop vendor product fulfillment score to ensure in stock service levels meet expectations.
  • Regularly report on replenishment performance to executive team, branch manager, and other stakeholders.
  • Seek and establish ways to further align demand planning process with the organization's financial revenue goals.
  • Responsible for inbound freight and coordinate with logistics
  • Maintain strict control over product inventory levels to meet internal and external demand of product.
  • Work with the inventory control team to ensure product accuracy.
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned
Requirements*- College Diploma or higher in business, with a focus on CPIM, CPF, ACPF or SCP is preferred

  • 7 years of direct work experience in a similar role with 35 years in a leadership capacity
  • Direct working knowledge of operations, warehouse management, and transportation management.
  • Direct knowledge of disaster recovery plans and other business continuity strategies, as it relates to the replenishment, is considered an asset
  • Familiarity with Replenishment Management in either 3rd part or directly in an ERP software.
  • Familiar with enterpriselevel trackandtrace systems, as well as implementation experience.
  • Handson experience with receipt management, vendor performance appraisal, and vendor return systems.
  • Good financial and business acumen.
  • Strong analytical abilities and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent project management and teambuilding skills.
  • Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization and its executive team.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Access and Excel.
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills, diplomacy, and tact.
  • Excellent planning and resource allocation skills.
  • Ability to work with a team, in a fastpaced environment.
