CNC Lathe Operator

Position Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Must be able to read and understand English.
Must be able to read and understand specifications in English.
Must be able to read and follow written instructions in English.
Must be able to work independently with mínimal supervision.
Must be able to work overtime as required.

Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to manufacturing processes such as milling, turning, grinding, and polishing.

Must be able to work with hazardous materials.
Must have good hand-eye
coordinationd physical stamina, and work ethic.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs machine maintenance on lathes and mills (cleaning, lubrication, etc.)and performs routine preventive maintenance (cleaning, inspecting parts, replacing parts).
  • Performs machine setup for operation in a variety of production processes including turning, grinding, milling, brazing, and brazingwelding processes.
  • Performs quality checks on parts produced.
  • Prepares finished product for shipment.
  • May perform a basic inspection on parts produced or received.

Wages depend on experience.

Salary:
$15.50-$35.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Morning shift
  • Overtime

Supplemental pay types:

  • Overtime

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Brampton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

Machine Operator: 3 years (preferred)


Language:


  • English (preferred)

Shift availability:

  • Night Shift (preferred)
