BIM Student

What You'll Be Working On

Our internships and Co-ops are designed to provide you with a business relevant project that will allow you to independently manage your own area of responsibility, while receiving support from an assigned Supervisor and Technical Mentor.

We'll help you discover your strengths and development areas in a challenging, fun, and supportive work environment.

We are seeking a student to join us for 4-12 month co-op position starting in May 2024. This position will be based out of Toronto, ON.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with various departments to gather information for BIM (Building Information Modeling) proposals.
Assist in creating and formatting BIM documents, ensuring adherence to organizational standards.
Coordinate the review process, ensuring timely feedback from stakeholders.
Conduct market research specific to BIM to gather relevant information for proposal content.
Analyze client requirements in the context of BIM, tailoring proposals to meet their specific needs.
Stay informed about industry trends in BIM to enhance proposal competitiveness.
Maintain a comprehensive, accurate database of BIMrelated proposal content.
Organize and manage files related to BIM proposals for easy retrieval and reference.
Communicate effectively with team members for smooth collaboration during the development of BIM proposals.
Conduct thorough proofreading and editing of BIM proposals to ensure they are errorfree and meet quality standards.
Assist in the development of templates and standard content specific to BIM to streamline future proposal processes.

Who We Need On Our Team- You are currently enrolled in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Design related program.- You will complete at least one more semester of education following your internship and possess a GPA of 3.0 or higher- Ability to lead and operate within an environment where change happens frequently- Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships- Exemplify the Ideal Team Player - Hungry, Humble, Smart- Highly developed interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills- Sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals- Ability to work collaboratively with a positive attitude- Residency, or a valid work permit which would allow you to work for Bird Construction or one of our wholly owned subsidiaries- If you are selected for a role with client specific requirements, you may be required to successfully complete a pre-employment Medical and/or Alcohol & Drug testing.
