  • 1. Through lectures, seminars, and/or labs, provide didactic and clinical instruction and assessment of performance in the Dental Hygiene program.
  • Supervise and evaluate students in clinical settings.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of current dental hygiene principles, procedures and techniques and the principles of adult education.
  • Develop and maintain course curriculum.
  • Conduct various aspects of program administration as required.
  • Provide dental hygiene services as required.
  • Provide instructional support to Dental Assisting Program when required.- QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE

Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA)

  • 1. Graduate of a Dental Hygiene Program and related baccalaureate degree (or be working toward completion of a related degree).
  • Minimum of two years recent and relevant dental hygiene experience in a dental office utilizing current dental hygiene principles, procedures and techniques.
  • Eligible for registration and licensure as a dental hygienist in Saskatchewan.
  • Training in educational theory and methodology.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Effective instructional ability.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to function as a team member in an ever-changing environment
  • Demonstrates valuing diversity.**Desired QSA
