Monarch House is a child development centre offering comprehensive services to families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder and related developmental delays.

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) at Monarch House, your primary role involves implementing interventions for children and youth with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental and/or motor delays.

Your responsibilities as an Occupational Therapy Assistant include executing intervention plans crafted and supervised by a Registered Occupational Therapist for Monarch House clients.

You will work within a team environment, delivering a positive and engaging client experience in a fast-paced and ever-changing setting.

Work Specifications:

  • Mon-Fri, 9AM-7PM (based on client availability)
- Travel required across Toronto and private clinic clients.

Salary:

Starting from $23 to $25 per hour.

Get an Insight into Your Daily Tasks:

  • Regular communication with families/clients and supervisors regarding session progress
  • Implementation of treatment plans following best practices
  • Preparation of teaching materials and organizing the teaching environment
  • Creating a positive and engaging environment for the client
  • Maintaining the client's safety and well-being during care
  • Tracking client progress through data collection and graphing to keep clients engaged

Requirements for Success:

  • Completion of postsecondary coursework in Occupational Therapy
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle (mileage provided)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as an OTA
  • Current Standard CPR and First Aid Certification
