Responsibilities and Duties

Provide oversight of all accounting operations, including revenue recognition, AR, AP, and payroll
Closely manage cash flows and utilize forecasting and budgeting tools to provide oversight over all Company spending
Implement controls and procedures through all aspects of accounting processes to ensure accurate and timely processing and reporting
Prepare monthly reporting with variance analyses and KPIs to assist management with decision making
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Ensure regulatory, reporting, and tax compliance for the parent company and all subsidiaries in various countries
Prepare quarterly and annual consolidation workbooks and related financial statements and MD&A
Act as point of contact with external auditors, preparing and providing all requested documentation and facilitating timely completion of annual financial statement audit
Manage Intermediate Accountant, providing daily oversight and feedback
Work closely with other departments to create processes and resolve issues when they arise
Assist CFO and management team with adhoc reporting when required

Requirements:

Proven working experience as a Financial controller
7+ years of accounting and finance experience
CPA designation
Thorough knowledge of IFRS accounting principles and public company compliance requirements
Fullcycle accounting experience, including monthend process and financial statement preparation
Experience preparing full IFRS financial statements and note disclosures for public companies
Experience working in a multicurrency organization
Experience with implementing internal controls
Experience managing a team of accountants
Excellent communication and time management skills
