The Mill Services Superintendent will organize and direct all safety, quality, productivity requirements for the department focusing on Effluent treatment Boiler systems.

• Focusing on TPM working as a team completing RCAs to eliminate failure points driving towards our environmental compliance uptime goals
• Leadership Operational Oversight Supervising effluent treatment operators power engineers utility personnel Ensuring round-the-clock operation of wastewater treatment steam plant boilers compressed air cooling water related systems Coordinating production departments managing influent loading process upsets utility demands Leading daily operations meetings providing direction prioritiesOversee operating primary secondary tertiary treatment systems including screening equalization basins clarifiers DAF sludge handling Monitor performance identify upsets implement corrective actions Maintain compliance MECP Environment Climate Change Canada PPER Ensure accurate sampling laboratory testing environmental reporting Drive optimization initiatives reduce chemical consumption improve effluent quality operating costsOptimize energy efficiency steam reliability equipment uptimeEnsure regulatory complianceTSSA CSA B51/B52 MECP approvals ECA Federal PPER OHSA Workplace safety regulations Prepare monthly quarterly annual reportsLead incident investigations root-cause analysesWork maintenance teams plan preventive corrective work Develop equipment reliability strategies pumps blowersaeration equipements boilers chemical dosing systemsparticipate capital planning scope definition cost estimating commissioningequipmentTrain coach develop operators engineers EngineersWastewater Treatment Operator Certification Class II-IV or eligibility obtainAdditional training confined space WHMIS process safetysupport programManagement operating budgets chemicals utilities contractor services energy Identify implement cost-saving improvement initiativesTrack report KPIs effluent quality generation efficiency downtime
