Finance Manager (Part-Time).

Barque Smokehouse on Roncesvalles is hiring a part-time Finance Manager to manage the day to day finances of the company and lead our team to ensure Barque's continued success.

We are currently in our 12th year of operations and are passionate and dedicated to our leading equitable practices in the restaurant industry.

Responsibilities of the role include:

Director of finances:
Provide internal financial reports to guide management decisions to ensure profitability & continued growth of the company.
Implement & maintain internal controls & processes:
Inventory management, POS & 3rd party payment reconciliation, petty cash, menu costing & pricing.
Work closely with bookkeeper/accountants:
Provide all financial data to bookkeeper & reconcile bank suspension lists.
Review & approve monthly Profit & Loss statements.
Banking:
Responsible for all banking activity.
Manage & forecast cash flow.
Accounts Payable:
Pay invoices in a timely manner to maintain good standing with a high volume of suppliers
Credit card reconciliations.
Biweekly payroll processing using Payworks Software:
ROEs, T4s.
Manage employee files:
Complete & file employee contracts.
Manage employee benefits programs.
Manage business licenses, supplier contracts, insurance policy renewals, financial/government/legal documentation.
Manage all incoming mail, maintain organization of the filing system.

Job Requirements:

Completed or working towards Business Finance or Accounting diploma/degree.
Minimum 3 years experience working with financial data in a business finance/management accounting role.
Bookkeeping experience preferred.
Restaurant experience preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
Strong leadership skills & team player.
Must be exceptionally organized & detailoriented.
Analytical & strategic thinker, solutionsoriented.
Selfdriven and able to work independently.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

Salary & Benefits include:

Parttime position (3 days/week) with an annual salary of $35,000.
