    About the Role: Manager, Property Accounting

    This leadership role plays a crucial part in ensuring the accurate and timely financial management of the company's growing portfolio of luxury residential properties. You'll oversee a team of property accountants, collaborate with various departments, and contribute to the company's overall success.

    Responsibilities
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of property accountants, fostering a collaborative work environment.
    • Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations for a designated portfolio of properties, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with accounting standards.
    • Manage monthly accounting close procedures, review financial statements, and analyze variances in collaboration with property managers.
    • Prepare and review year-end financial reports and supporting documentation.
    • Contribute to the development of annual budgets and forecasts.
    • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure timely and successful audit completion.
    • Support the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and procedures.
    • Handle property accounting-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
    • Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed.
    Qualifications
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
    • In-depth knowledge of property accounting principles and practices.
    • Proven track record of managing a team, with strong leadership and mentoring skills.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with property accounting software (ideally Yardi).
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
