    Description

    Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, diagnose and repair equipment fleet
  • Schedule and complete routine equipment repair and maintenance ensuring appropriate quality control, processes, and procedures with the Equipment Manager
  • Implement and ensure compliance with OH&S standards as they pertain to the Turfcare operation including recordkeeping of preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
  • Effectively address, manage, and resolve hourly Turfcare team equipment concerns and questions
  • Assist with development and implementation of the annual operating and capital budgets for responsibility areas (Equipment Repair & Maintenance)
  • Staff management and administration including training employees on the proper use and application of safety equipment (PPE)
  • Ensure timely and effective two way communication between members, staff and the rest of the Turfcare Management team
  • Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Mechanic, including experience working with golf course equipment operation and maintenance of construction and mechanical equipment
  • Education and/or working knowledge of small engines and diesel engines, troubleshooting electrical and/or hydraulic systems
  • Demonstrated team player with proven leadership competencies and contributes to creating a respectful, supportive working environment and a place for all to excel and enjoy is considered an asset
  • Valid class 5 driver's license
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Access to reliable transportation as there is no public transportation available to our location

    This position is a Permanent Year Round Full-time position. Shifts may include weekdays, weekends and evenings. The successful candidate will work alongside and report to the Golf Course Superintendent.

    The successful applicant will be required to complete a background check as well as Respect in the Workplace and Respect in Sport online certifications prior to commencing employment.
