The Insignia hotel is a unique hotel with rich history and charm. Formerly known as the Drawbridge Inn, our hotel was initially built in the 1960's. Throughout the history of Sarnia, the drawbridge was the place to be.

Today, The Insignia Hotel is part of the Tribute Portfolio Collection, and we continue to grow and prosper with the beautiful city of Sarnia.

We offer a full-service 84 room hotel with amazing amenities such as saltwater pool, dry saunas, gym, fine dining restaurant and bar.

We also have a private banquet hall and drawbridge room available for business, conferences, and leisure events.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for a hard working and efficient evening house person.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

You will be responsible for assisting guest services with guest requests, cleaning employee areas, restocking our hotel shop, and assisting hotel guests with their luggage if requested.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Cleans and maintains all staff areas.
Empties trash in all staff areas and take trash to dumpster.
Restocks hotel shop.
Clears garbage, laundry, and dishes from hallways throughout their shift.
Assists night auditor in delivering guest requests as needed.
Is able to carry and lift items weighing up to 80 pounds and able to stand for 8 consecutive hours.
Provides the highest quality of service to guests at all times.
Wears proper uniform at all times in accordance with the standards of personal appearance guidelines in the handbook
Clean guestrooms, if required.
Performs all other duties deemed necessary by management.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Reliable Transportation. Shift timing will be 6:30pm10pm. (3.5 hour shifts)
Availability to work in the evening.
Must be able to exert up to 80 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 80 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Ability to stand during entire shift.
Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written in English, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
