The Production Supervisor is part of a small and dynamic Creative Services team responsible for creating effective on-air promotions for the Family Channel, Family Junior, Télémagino and WildBrain TV.


Acting as a primary liaison with various internal departments and external clients, the Production Supervisor will be the central point person for all creative resourcing needs.

This position is responsible for overseeing the workflow of all projects including; reviewing project briefs, obtaining the necessary materials and approvals, maintaining production schedules, ensuring content adheres to broadcast standards and is aligned with the overall company strategy.


Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and assign briefs from internal stakeholders (Marketing, Programming, Sales), manage feedback and approvals while ensuring all project deadlines are met
  • Work with internal departments to brainstorm promotion concept pitches
  • Liaise with promotion clients to obtain materials and approval
  • Manage script, promo and content approval process
  • Lead the execution of sales promotions (including contests, sponsorships, events) from approved concept through completion
  • Lead the planning and execution of Marketing and Sales tools (including sizzle reels, sales trailers)
  • Proactively identify any project/delivery risks, escalating issues to management, if necessary
  • Effectively communicate with key stakeholders regarding updates and shifting priorities
  • Manage and track overall resource allocation and capacity for the Creative Services Department, including talent and freelance roster
  • Work with Programming and Traffic to manage and resolve any scheduling conflicts
  • Book, manage and supervise post audio sessions and voice talent
  • Work closely with internal departments to ensure promotions are aligned with DHX Televisions' overall brand strategy
  • Receive and submit invoices while tracking overall department budget and alerting management to any potential issues

Qualifications

  • Experience working in promotion, resource management in media, or a similar role; TV Production experience an asset
  • Outstanding organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to multitask and accurately manage several projects at the same time
  • Exceptional problemsolving skills and ability to see big picture
  • Proven ability to build rapport and trust with colleagues and customers
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a team environment
  • An understanding and passion for the creative process
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel and Word required
  • Experience working with AVID, Photoshop and After Effects an asset
  • French language skills are considered an asset
