WAREHOUSE & PRODUCTION OPERATOR:

Our team in
Montreal currently has an opening for a
Warehouse & Production Operator

YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Ensure loads being received are accurate and damage free.
  • Ensure loads are warehoused damage free, in proper location, rotating older stock segregating incompatible products.
  • Ensure all shipments are completed accurately and damage free following all special instructions listed on the billoflading. Shipments must be made from the correct warehouse location. Product must be clean prior to loading.
  • Prepare all necessary paperwork after ensuring load is doublechecked and submit to office.
  • Ensure all health, safety and environmental rules and regulations, both Government and Corporate, are followed.
  • Ensure all damage is cleaned up immediately and reported to the supervisor.
  • Report any discrepancies on shipping or receiving documents to the supervisor prior to the truck being released.
  • Assist in checking the loads being shipped or received by other warehouse personnel.
  • Ensure forklift truck is in a safe working condition by completing the circle check prior to using the machine. Proper reports must be completed with major problems identified to the supervisor.
  • Report to the Foreman when work assignments are completed.
  • Ensure load weight distribution on loads being shipped meets Government regulations.
  • Perform warehousing functions such as rotating stock, creating storage space, general housekeeping and other internal product movement.
  • Complete checklists and inspections as required (fire extinguishers ect).
  • Assist in training and support of all employees in training.
  • Focus on the immediate task at hand to ensure that job is done safety and correctly
  • Anticipate changes that could affect your safety or others and how to react to them
  • Preplan work and look for potential hazards, missing safeguards and risk reduction opportunities.
  • Acknowledge and describe at risk practices or short cuts to the person who performed them (regardless of department)
  • To be trained and follow the requirements of Food Safety under BRC / AIB /SQF protocols

YOUR PROFILE:


Education and Experience:


  • High School Diploma
  • Excellent Bilingual Proficiency
  • 35 Years forklift experience in a Warehouse, Production and Transports setting ( counter balance, deep reach )
  • Proper Functional computer literacy with programs such as SAP, Outlook, Excel
  • Proper functional experience working with WMS ( warehouse management system ) and RF scanners
  • Proper functional experience in Loading and offloading Trailers in a transports environment
  • 35 years experience in a chemical distribution, production & processing setting
