    The Ottawa International Animation Festival (OIAF) is one of the leading events of its kind. With an annual attendance of 28,, the OIAF attracts artists, producers, students, and animation fans from around the world. The OIAF is run by the Canadian Film Institute (CFI), a registered charity.
    This is a unique entry-level opportunity to work at a major film festival and learn on the job with an experienced and dynamic team. Take your skills to the next level while helping the OIAF to grow and thrive.

    The OIAF Development Coordinator will work with the Managing Director and the Industry Manager to organize and execute all aspects of OIAF supporter partnerships. This position involves outreach and communications, sales and advertising, events management, web content updates and other tasks as required. You will work with an assistant to ensure all deliverables associated with business partnerships are fulfilled.

    Office Location: Arts Court, 2 Daly Ave. Ottawa

    Remuneration:
    Six-month contract (May-October) with potential extension. Total gross contract pay is $20,, alongside valuable networking and skill development opportunities.

    Requirements
    An educational background in film, communications, arts management, administration, or commerce would be an asset.
    Previous work or volunteer experience in one or more of the following areas would be advantageous: sales, administration, event management, client relations, and front-line public relations.
    This position requires being in the office.

    Skills and Abilities

  • Strong attention to detail and love of organization tools.
  • Great listening and relationship management skills.
  • Some experience managing staff or volunteers
  • Strong computer literacy: the ability to quickly learn new programs/platforms and take initiative to troubleshoot.
  • Excellent client service skills, ability to be personable and enthusiastic with all supporters and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional business writing skills with attention to detail, including but not limited e-marketing, social media messaging and proposals.
  • Basic web and print layout skills are an asset including experience with Canva and WordPress.
  • Basic knowledge of Quickbooks or another accounting software program would be an asset.
  • Ability to problem-solve under pressure.
  • Advanced spreadsheet or database skills are a plus.
  • Experience with Google workspace is an asset
  • Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the development database and track deliverable
  • Play a key role in communications between the OIAF and Festival supporters
  • Manage accreditations for all supporters and community partners.
  • Organize advertising and print materials associated with sponsorship
  • Manage logos and digital assets relating to supporter promotions.
  • Work with all stakeholders to ensure supporter-driven events are a success.
  • Onboard, train, supervise, and evaluate an assistant with care and efficiency
