Role Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute daytoday accounts payable operations to uphold accurate and current financial records.
- Create invoices for payment following provincial buyer purchase specifications and guidance from supervisors.
- Implement systematic document and invoice organization for efficient recordkeeping.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations for multiple accounts, ensuring precision and uncovering discrepancies.
- Aid in yearend preparations for annual reports in collaboration with the finance team.
- Tackle miscellaneous financial and administrative tasks, showcasing adaptability in a dynamic setting.
Essential Skills:
- Solid grasp of fundamental bookkeeping and accounts payable principles for meticulous financial handling.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Access) for streamlined data management and analysis.
- Demonstrated accuracy in calculating, posting, and managing financial figures and records.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities for effective task and priority management.
- Enthusiasm for ongoing learning and personal growth, exhibiting a proactive approach.
- Adherence to confidentiality and discretion when dealing with sensitive data.
- Aptitude for both independent and collaborative work, contributing positively to team dynamics.
- Strong prioritization skills, thriving in a fastpaced and evolving industry.
- Confidence in interacting with government agencies overseeing Cannabis sales and distribution.
- Experience with QuickBooks is advantageous.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Edmontonarea residency required, as remote work is not available.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree and/or 2year college diploma in a related field.
Physical Demands:
- Onsite position, not remote or hybrid.
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
- Capacity to sit for prolonged durations.
- Comfort with following access control and contamination prevention protocols.
- Mandatory full COVID19 vaccination for facility entry.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Negotiable Salary
- 40 hours per week
