Description

Are you a motivated individual eager to work as part of a dynamic network operations team? Successful applicants will play a pivotal role in our organization by designing, implementing, and managing Server, workstation and Azure Virtual Desktop environments.

Key responsibilities include implementing robust security protocols to protect data and system integrity, and conducting regular system updates and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing client server / storage infrastructure
• Monitoring system logs
• Develop and maintain network schematics and documentation
• Maintaining Active Directory
• Deploying new Server Infrastructures / Storage / HCI
• Migrating onpremise exchange environments to Office 36
• Building and maintaining MS Azure tenants
• Maintain service requests (tickets)

Azure Virtual Desktop Management:

• Design, deploy, and manage Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments.
• Monitor and optimize AVD performance and user experience.

Azure Security:

• Implement and manage security controls using Azure Security Center.
• Configure Network Security Groups (NSGs), Azure Firewall, and DDoS protection.
• Monitor security alerts, perform risk assessments, and implement remediation measures.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational policies.

Azure Virtual Machines:

• Provision and manage Azure Virtual Machines (VMs) based on business requirements.
• Implement and manage access control, encryption, and security updates.
• Monitor VM performance, scalability, and backup solutions.

Best Practices and Continuous Improvement:

• Develop and enforce best practices for identity and access management, data protection, and network security.
• Stay updated with the latest Azure technologies and security trends.
• Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in managing Azure environments, with a focus on Virtual Desktops, Security, and Virtual Servers.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop, Azure Security Center, and Azure Virtual Machines.
• Experience with network security configurations, including NSGs and Azure Firewall.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell or other relevant tools.
• Microsoft 365 Certified Fundamentals

• MCSA

• Windows Server
• Strong Hyper-V and VMware skills
• Retired Microsoft certificates are acceptable
• Five years field experience in systems support
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Azure certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Experience with compliance and governance frameworks.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines).

Any experience with the following vendors would be an asset:

• Fortinet UTM appliances
• Ruckus / Brocade
• Juniper
• VMware
