Position Summary
Manager, Medical Imaging Support Services & Systems
Reporting to the Director of Clinical Diagnostics, your goal in this role is to manage the day-to-day operational and clinical excellence of the Medical Imaging Department through effective critical thinking, relationship-building and communication with both Hospital partners and department staff.
You will facilitate the provision of an outstanding diagnostic service, and patient and family experience within the Medical Imaging Department.
The Manager is responsible for supporting the development of a high-performance team, ensuring the delivery of high quality and safe care for patients and families, and a healthy work environment for staff, physicians, and volunteers.
The Manager brings a high level of operational expertise and leadership skills to a diverse team.You will take on the shared responsibility for ensuring that health and safety policies are followed to provide for a healthy environment for patients, staff, physicians, volunteers, and families.
This position supports the hospital's academic mandate by advancing care through teaching and learning and/or transforming care through research and innovation.
This role assists the Program Director in supporting the development and implementation of strategic and operational initiatives focused on improving MI information technology, patient booking and registration services at NYGH.
Additionally, the Manager, Medical Imaging Support Services & Systems will take on a leadership role in enhancing MI system utilization management through collaboration with all Clinical Programs, and supporting various business analyses.

To lead, support, guide, plan, coordinate, and oversee the day-to-day operations of the PACS division, Booking, Registration and Film Library while providing support for all modalities and monitoring imaging wait times (e.g., WTIS & OBSP performance)
Ensure a high level of customer service by all Medical Imaging PACS and clerical team members to users within the organization professionally and efficiently.
Support strategic information systems, patient registration and bookings initiatives and projects across the MI Department
Work with Clinical Programs and Ordering Physicians on clinical service planning, physician impact analyses, and MI systems utilization management to ensure integrated program planning and service delivery
Work with Finance Consultancy Team on MI finances, budget, case costing and volumes
On-call duties required
Promote best practices and evidence-based practices through the implementation of initiatives that are aligned with the organization's strategic direction
Manage on a day-to-day basis the physical, financial and human resources of the team in line with the mission, vision, values and strategic direction of the organization
Maintain compliance with required Health & Safety, environmental and other legislative requirements
