OVERVIEW:
The Marketing Coordinator acts as an extension and support to the Senior Marketing Manager and will take a supportive role in the marketing initiatives for the South Okanagan Events Centre


In Office or Remote Position:
In Office


Schedule:
Monday to Friday, Weekends, Day and Night Shifts. Event-based schedule.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Manage the SOEC's social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) and maintain a consistent voice throughout each platform
• Plan and create static and video content (Instagram Reels, TikTok) for all SOEC social media channels
• Plan and participate in community events and distribute promotional material throughout the Okanagan to increase awareness of upcoming events at the SOEC
• Update 3rd party event listings with upcoming events
• Provide marketing support for concerts, family shows, sporting events and more

Qualifications (educational, experience and basic knowledge requirements):

• Minimum 2 years experience in a social media/content creation role or minimum 2 years in a marketing role
• Higher consideration for those with diplomas or certification from an accredited course, college, or university in Marketing, Social Media Management, Communications, or Sports/Business Management
• Must have a valid Driver's License and a vehicle
• Excellent written and oral skills
• Knowledge of social media and analytics
• Knowledge of website maintenance and management (WordPress)
• Knowledge and experience with Canva an asset
• Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills and interpersonal skills
• Must be creative, have a strong work ethic, and be proactive problem solver

Part-time hours: 20 per week


Salary:
$20.00-$22.00 per hour


Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
